Precision Pastures is an Independent Soils, Pastures and Carbon Service, they use the latest technology, satellite imagery and GPS soil testing equipment to assist farmers across Australia to achieve their production objectives. They are a data focussed company, providing clients with objective results when it comes to their soil and supporting their interpretation with direct access to our agronomists and support experts.
Precision Pastures started working with FarmLab several years ago. They were having trouble keeping individual farm records and soil sampling locations across their growing list of clients. They had been using numerous platforms and data holding facilities to store farm records, and needed a consolidated solution to get their clients the best results.
FarmLab offered that complete solution, providing Precision Pastures with a central location to map, survey and store soil testing data as well as advanced processing and analytics to help determine soil carbon variability for their clients.
Both the mobile and desktop app were simple to use and provide a visual display of a properties soil attributes and gave Precision Pastures the ability to collect samples and manage carbon projects anywhere, quickly and easily.
‘The team at Farmlab have provided an amazing platform and service for farmers and advisors to store, survey and map soil attributes quickly and accurately.’
Says Drew, General Manager of Precision Pastures Operations, ‘The ability to strategically select soil sampling sites through the soil attribute surveys created in FarmLab has dramatically increased the accuracy and efficiency of our soil sampling services.’
Precision Pastures and FarmLab will both be exhibiting at the upcoming Carbon Farmers of Australia conference in Albury from 24-25 May. If you’re in town, drop by and learn more about how FarmLab can be used to streamline environmental management for your agribusiness.
